UB Plastics was founded in 1983 to supply plastic injection moulded components to the brewing sector – replacing traditional wooden parts with modern, hygienic alternatives. From day one, the company has served breweries across the UK from its base in Burton upon Trent, a town synonymous with beer production. Over four decades later, we continue to manufacture millions of brewing-related components every year, combining our heritage with modern automation and quality systems.

Brewing Products We Supply
UB Plastics manufactures a wide range of injection moulded components specifically for use in brewing, including:
- Tamper Evident Caps – Food-grade polypropylene caps with tear-off security strips and optional in-mould labelling for branding
- Shives – Two-piece, ventable shives for sealing stainless steel and plastic casks
- Pegs – HDPE sealing pegs used post-broach to maintain product hygiene and prevent spillage
- Keystones – Durable thermoplastic elastomer keystones with standard or tutt options for easy removal and high-temperature washing
- Keystone Bungs – Resealing bungs made from 100% recycled material, extracted easily with the keystone
All products are manufactured in-house at our Burton site and available in a wide range of sizes, colours and packaging formats.
